The Georgia Tech community now has access to more than 200,000 technical papers from SPIE Journals and Conference Proceedings from 1990 (Full coverage from 1998 to the present) through SPIE Digital Library. The collected papers and research articles covers topic such as optics, photonics, electronic and biomedical imaging, sensing, communications and fiber optics, and micro- and nano-technology. More than 17,000 new technical papers are added annually.

GT Library Participates in the ARL LibQUAL+ Survey
Monday, November 6th, 2006Beginning November 6, 2006 the GT Library is participating in the LibQUAL+ Survey, a large-scale, user-based assessment of library service effectiveness developed by the Association of Research Libraries (ARL) in collaboration with Texas A&M University. This is the third time that the GT Library will have participated in this survey. We are doing so in conjunction with more than 20 other University System of Georgia libraries. The LibQUAL+ Survey uses a web-based to gauge library users’ general attitudes toward Georgia Tech’s libraries, as well as their overall level of satisfaction with the libraries’ services. Our survey invitation will go to a random-sampling of each Georgia Tech academic community: 900 undergraduate students, 900 graduate students, and 600 faculty.

NTIS Technical Reports Server now available
Friday, October 6th, 2006The Georgia Tech community now has online access to many full-text unclassified, government-sponsored research reports from NASA and other federal agencies through the NTIS Technical Reports Server.
Now available: Science Online
Friday, September 1st, 2006The Library is pleased to announce that GT faculty, staff and students now have current, online access to Science, one of the premier science journals. Combined with the backfile coverage in JSTOR, we now have complete online access from 1880 to the most recent issue.
Each issue of Science includes reports, review and research articles as well as news, book reviews and editorials. GT’s Science Online subscription also provides access to Science Now, which includes daily updates (2-4 articles/day) of recent scientific news and discoveries.
Science can be accessed via the library’s eJournal locator.
Safari Tech Books Online now available

D&B Million Dollar Database now available!
Monday, May 22nd, 2006The Georgia Tech Community now has access to Dun & Bradstreet’s Million Dollar Database, a directory of over 1.6 million U.S. and Canadian leading public and private businesses. The database includes companies with more than 20 employees or sales greater than $1 million and gives company profiles along with industry and marketing information.
