Yitzhak Rabin Exhibit on display in the Neely Gallery until December 1, 2004.

The Jewish Student Union, along with Students for Israel at Georgia Tech, is hosting a traveling exhibition honoring former Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and 1994 Nobel Peace Prize recipient.  The exhibit features several photos of Rabin throughout his life and highlights his role as a peace-maker in Middle East political conflicts.

The exhibit is on display in the Library’s Neely Gallery [view map].  Exhibit hours are 10am to 5pm Mon-Sat, 12pm – 5pm Sun.

Borrowing books from other libraries has suddenly become a lot easier!

Georgia Tech students, faculty and staff now have access to over four million books held by the 34 libraries of the University System of Georgia (USG) and the Gwinnett University Center.

The new program, called GIL Express, offers the options of either online or in-person requests for circulating items contained in these collections. GIL Express online requests can be made from the Universal Catalog which can be accessed from the Georgia Tech Library catalog by clicking on “GIL Universal Catalog.”

Voter Registration – Make Your Voice Heard!

Pick up a voter registration form at the Library’s Information Services Desk anytime the Library is open.  Use the Library’s copy machines or scanners to make a required copy of your Buzzcard or Driver’s Licence to mail with your registration form. Students who are residents from outside the state of Georgia can request an Absentee Ballot from their state at www.nased.org (click Membership and Roster of States) Deadline for registration is October 4th.

ISI Web of Science now available from 1945 to present!

The Library is very pleased to announce that we have been able to expand our access to the Web of Science suite of databases back to their beginning.  Dates of availability are as follows – Science Citation Index 1945-2004, Social Science Citation Index 1956-2004, and Arts & Humanities Citation Index 1975-2004.  Purchase of the back years of ISI Web of Science has been one of our most frequent purchase requests.

Nature now available from 1987 to date!

At Last – A Group Rehearsal Space in the Library!

The presentation rehearsal studio is an ideal space on campus to practice and put the finishing touches on classroom presentations. The technology in the Studio is identical to technology available in Tech classrooms. The studio was built as a result of student and faculty feedback about the critical need for presentation rehearsal space on campus. Two hour reservations are available any hours that the Library is open.
