GTEL® databases now link to selected full-text journals

GTEL® databases that include indexing and abstracting now link to the Georgia Tech Library’s growing collection of electronic journals. If Georgia Tech subscribes to the electronic journal, GTEL® databases will include a link to the e-journal in its holdings field. To view an example, go to the GTEL® database INSPEC. Perform a journal title search for the journal Applied Signal Processing and limit from 1999-. Select any of the records, scroll to the holdings, and click the hyperlink.The following databases include links to e-journals:

Business Index (BUSI)
INSPEC (INSP)
Computer Database (COMP)
Engineering Index (ENGI)
General Periodicals Abstracts (GENL)
PsychInfo (PSYC)

Director of Libraries candidate Richard Meyer visits Georgia Tech

Wednesday, April 12th, 2000

At 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, Mr. Meyer will make a presentation on the impact of technology. A reception will follow, at 4:00. The presentation and reception will take place in Room 102 of the Pettit Microelectronics Research Center (MiRC). MiRC is just beyond the EE building, and diagonally across from Bunger Henry. Enter through the main entrance, and turn to the left to reach Room 102.

Database Update: Try the Department of Energy’s new PrePRINT Network

Students and faculty researchers at Georgia Tech can now enjoy more timely, comprehensive access to energy-related papers, draft journal articles, and other electronic materials produced by researchers via the PrePRINT Network (PPN). PrePRINT Network is a new breakthrough service from the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI).

Status change for Academic Press titles

Full-text Academic Press titles are no longer available through GALILEO. However, you can still locate full-text articles by searching for the title in the Library Catalog or through Academic Press’ Ideal Library.
